ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Thrissur -World Soil day celebration 2021
Soil is the integral part of environment health. To propagate the importance of maintaining the health of soil every year December 5th is celebrated as World soil Day. In this context Krishi Vigyan Kendra Thrissur conducted a series of programmes to improve the awareness among farmers. In order to help farmer’s assess the quality of their soil, testing is being facilitated by Krishi Vigyan Kendra and for reaching a larger population on the availability of this facility was broad casted through various social medias. Soil health cards were distributed to the farmers. An awareness class on the Scientific application of fertility enhancers’ were conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kenda for farmers. An exhibition of organic based ameliorants produced at KVK was also organized during the event and these products were distributed to the farmers.
