Central Tuber Crop Research Institute, Sreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram has developed the technology of cassava based bio pesticides against sucking pests in vegetables. ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Thrissur has conducted successful trials on the same. An increase in the menace of sucking pests is observed in vegetables during summer season. In order to address this problem, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Thrissur, conducted an awareness programme for the farmers of Wadakkancherry block of Thrissur district on the topic “Management of Sucking Pests in vegetables during summer using Cassava based biopesticides viz., Nanma and Sreya” on 5th April, 2022. Dr. Jayaprakash, Principal Scientist, Central Tuber Crop Research Institute handled the session.
